The lyrical inspiration behind 'Solas' delves into the complexities of relationships, tackling themes of resilience and finding light in times of darkness. Collaborating with Sarah Cothran, who was based in Nashville while Jamie was in rural Monaghan, added an international dimension to the project. Despite facing challenges such as postponing writing sessions due to tornado damage in Tennessee, the collaboration resulted in a remarkable musical fusion.

Jamie Duffy is a 21 year old musician and songwriter from Ireland. From the small border village of Glaslough, Jamie blends
traditional, popular and classical influences into his music, to create sounds that are beautiful, evocative and unique.
His debut single, a piano piece titled “Solas” has been streamed 40 million times and has enjoyed over 18 million plays on YouTube.
